About TUXIA

Our Story

TUXIA was born from a simple observation: most people need to work with images every day — resizing a product photo, compressing a screenshot for email, cropping a profile picture, or generating a QR code for a link — but the tools available either require installing desktop software, signing up for an account, or uploading files to unknown servers.

We asked: what if the most common image tasks could be done right in the browser, without any of that friction?

That question led to TUXIA — a collection of 12 focused workspaces where you can upload, preview, edit, and export images directly in your browser. No downloads. No accounts. No server uploads for most tools. Just open the page and start working.

What Makes TUXIA Different

Local-First Processing

The majority of TUXIA’s tools — image compression, format conversion, resizing, cropping, watermarking, retouching, mosaic masking, color extraction, Base64 conversion, QR code generation and decoding, and EXIF metadata viewing — run entirely in your browser using the Canvas API and FileReader API. Your images are not uploaded to a TUXIA server. This means faster processing, stronger privacy, and no dependency on cloud infrastructure.

12 Focused Workspaces

Rather than cramming features into one cluttered editor, TUXIA gives each image task its own dedicated workspace. The image compressor has a before-and-after comparison panel. The QR code generator has live preview with color and style controls. The color picker shows a palette and lets you hover over the image to read individual pixel colors. Each tool is designed around its specific workflow.

No Accounts or Sign-Ups

TUXIA is a static website. There is no user database, no membership tiers, and no login required. You visit the page, use the tool, and download your result. We do not collect, store, or track your images or personal data. The only exception is the Image URL Generator, which sends an image directly from your browser to ImgBB using your own API key — and even then, TUXIA never sees or stores the file.

Multi-Language Support

TUXIA is available in English, Simplified Chinese (简体中文), and Traditional Chinese (繁體中文). Every tool page, guide, privacy policy, and terms page is fully translated to serve users across different regions.

Built with Modern Web Standards

TUXIA is powered by Hugo, a fast static site generator, and deployed via GitHub Pages. The tools use vanilla JavaScript with the Canvas API, FileReader API, and modern browser capabilities. We integrate third-party libraries — exif.js for metadata reading, jsQR.js for QR code decoding, and qr-code-styling.js for QR code generation — all loaded locally without external CDN dependencies.

Our Commitment

Privacy by design. Because most tools process images locally, your files stay on your device. We designed the architecture so that TUXIA never needs to receive, proxy, or store your images.

Free forever. TUXIA is free to use with no hidden fees, no premium tiers, and no locked features. We fund the site through advertising, not by charging users.

Continuous improvement. We actively monitor browser compatibility, performance, and usability. The tools are regularly updated to support new formats, fix edge cases, and improve the editing experience.
